A Letter To New Moms

A Letter To New Moms, From A Friend Who Sees You

Dear Mama,

I know we don’t know each other, but I see you.

I see the way you’re doing your best while your body aches and your heart feels raw and vulnerable. I see the way you hold and watch your little one, even as exhaustion pulls your shoulders forward. I see how you wonder if you’re doing this right. How you second-guess the silence, the stillness, the overwhelm.

This season is beautiful, yes. But it’s also messy, confusing, and tiring.

No one tells you that becoming a mama can feel like both the greatest gift and an unraveling. That you can love this little miracle with your whole heart and still feel out of your depth.

Friends and family celebrate your beautiful baby so well. You grab coffee with a friend, and the first question is about your baby. You want to share all the things, but a part of you still feels unseen. When was the last time someone asked how you were doing?

If you’re feeling unseen, lonely, or a little lost—you’re not. This is your becoming. And you are such a gift to your baby.

Raising the next generation takes a village.

You’re not alone here. You never were.

This letter is just a small reminder: you matter, too.

With love,
From Village + Vine
